A handmade Ayurvedic hair and scalp oil prepared in small batches in Rishikesh using a blend of selected botanicals and three traditional base oils.

The preparation is designed to turn hair oiling back into what it has traditionally been for many Indian households: a ritual of nourishment, massage, patience and consistent care.

A Formula Received Through Guidance

Kesh Elixir did not begin as a cosmetic product developed in a laboratory.

The preparation comes from the formula and guidance Mohit received from his Guru, Yog Shree Buddhi Prakash.

What eventually became Kesh Elixir began with that knowledge — a herbal oil preparation that Mohit now continues to make in Rishikesh in small batches.

Receiving knowledge is one thing. Practising it carefully, and carrying it forward responsibly, is another.

THE PREPARATION

Herbs. Water. Oil. Heat. Time.

Kesh Elixir is not made by simply mixing herbal extracts into ready-made oil. The preparation moves through several stages.

Prepare the Herbal Kadha

Selected herbs in powdered form are boiled with water to prepare a concentrated herbal kadha, or decoction.

Bring It Together

The herbal kadha is combined with water, the three base oils and whole sabut herbs.

Cook Slowly

The preparation is cooked together so the herbal material, water phase and oils move through the preparation as one process.

Let the Water Leave

Cooking continues until the water gradually evaporates, leaving behind the prepared herbal oil.

Filter & Bottle

The finished oil is carefully filtered and bottled in small batches.

Herbs → Kadha → Kadha + Water + Oils + Whole Herbs → Slow Cooking → Water Evaporates → Filter → Kesh Elixir

It takes more work than simply blending an oil. That's precisely the point.

Apply

Apply Kesh Elixir across the scalp and distribute gently with your fingertips.

Massage

Massage the scalp slowly and gently, allowing the oil to spread evenly. Work a small amount through the lengths if desired.

Rest

Leave the oil for 5–6 hours or overnight.

Wash

Wash thoroughly with your regular gentle shampoo.

For the intended Kesh Elixir ritual, use 4–5 times per week with consistency.

Before his life in Rishikesh, Mohit spent nine years serving in the Indian Air Force Special Forces.

His path eventually led him toward the Himalayas, Yoga, Meditation and his Guru, Yog Shree Buddhi Prakash.

Kesh Elixir is one small expression of that journey — bringing together the traditional knowledge he received, the discipline that has shaped his life, and a belief that some forms of care should remain personal and unhurried.
